Diagnostic Psychological Testing

SERVICES PROVIDED

Educational & Psychoeducational Testing
When the focus is on problems at school, learning disabilities, ADHD and executive difficulties. Also useful for differentiating learning and attentional problems from other difficulties (e.g., anxiety, depression, oppositional behavior, etc.).

Neuropsychological Assessment
Useful for gauging concussion severity/recovery or evaluating autistic spectrum disorders, adult ADHD, memory decline/dementia, age-related changes in functioning, etc.

Psychodiagnostic Assessment
These are comprehensive batteries that are designed to tease apart multiple and varied diagnostic hypotheses that overlap or share common outward signs and symptoms (e.g., differentiating bipolar disorder vs. substance dependence or discerning the underlying causes for behavioral problems or “acting out”).



Consultation
Ongoing discussing with patients and parents regarding evaluation results and recommendations.

Schools and organizations (e.g. working with school systems as an independent evaluator or to help shape policy).



Individual Psychotherapy
Psychodynamically oriented with emphasis on long-term personality change.


Research
Institutional research (e.g., outcomes research) or assistance for individuals (e.g., in planning methodology, assisting with statistical analysis, etc.).
